Cider + cheese + interesting people = fun

Sold out!

Apple season is back in the Capital Region, and so too is AOA cider and cheese night.

On Monday, September 25 Nine Pin Cider will open its tasting room on Broadway in for an AOA event with Honest Weight Food Co-op. cheese and cider pairing. Alejandro del Peral, Nine Pin's cider maker, will be pairing ciders with four cheeses selected by Honest Weight cheesemonger Linda Donegan. Some of the cheese makers will also be on hand to answer questions.

The event is presented by All Over Albany and Brian and Reggie at TheCapitalTeam.com, and this year tickets are just $10. They're available online -- here's how to buy them.

Here's what's included...

+ Cider flight: Samples of four Nine Pin ciders

+ Local cheese: Samples of four locally-made cheeses, one paired with each cider by cider maker Alejandro del Peral and cheesemonger Linda Donegan

+ How it's made: Short talks about how the ciders and cheeses are made from but Del Peral, Donegan, the cheesemakers and other experts

+ Dessert: Something sweet to round out the night, provided by the folks at The Capital Team

The Nine Pine tasting room will be also pouring that evening, with ciders available for purchase. And, of course, you'll get to enjoy it all with other fun AOA people.

The event is Monday, September 25 starting at 5:30 pm the Nine Pin tasting room on Broadway. It's 21 and over.

This event sold out quickly the first time it was held. And space is limited, so getting tickets sooner rather than later is a good idea if you'd like to go.

Nine Pin, Honest Weight, and The Capital Team advertise on AOA.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
