Albany Book & Paper Fair 2017

albany antiquarian book fair washington ave armory

The Albany Book & Paper Fair is set for November 26 at the Polish Communty Center in Albany. Blurbage:

The Capital District's premier book collecting event is back and it is better than ever. ... Scarce, rare, & out-of-print books, maps, autographs, documents, manuscripts, post cards, political & advertising items, ephemera, fine & decorative prints & much more will be on display and for sale.

You might remember this show as the Albany Antiquarian Book Fair at the Washington Ave Armory (see above photo). It's back now after a two-year hiatus with a little bit different name. The show is managed by Austin's Antiquarian Books and sponsored by the Albany Institute of History and Art -- and there will be a silent auction of materials from AIHA.

Here's a list of exhibitors so far.

The fair is Sunday, November 26 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Polish Community Center, which is located at 225 Washington Ave Ext. Admission is $6.

Wish I could make it in from Chicago. There have always been tons of unusual books in that area. Lyrical Ballad is exhibiting but visitors and other exhibitors should try to visit their shop in Saratoga--always a treasure trove, an amazing place run by great people. (retired bookseller)
