The family-friendly city
Some of the issues discussed in this Curbed article about new guidelines Toronto's developed for a more kid-friendly city don't directly apply here -- Toronto is a much larger, denser urban area, of course -- but the thing that struck us about the story is that there was a concerted effort on the part of the city to think about what it means to truly cultivate an environment attractive and friendly to families to kids so they stay. That's something that wouldn't be a bad idea for local places such as Albany and Troy. [Curbed]
