Net Neutrality
Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order on Wednesday prohibiting state government contracts with internet companies that do not adhere to the principals of net neutrality. [News 10][TU]

Day two in the corruption trial of Joe Percoco: It was revealed that Cuomo's top aid and his wife were facing more than $1 million in mortgage and credit card debts in 2014, when he allegedly accepted payoffs from businessmen. [TU]

Sanctuary cities
Albany is one of 23 sanctuary cities around the country that could be served with a subpoena by the U.S. Department of Justice if it doesn't provide proof that it is complying with Federal immigration law. [TU][WNYT]

State Troopers unveil drones

Credit rating agency Moody's has released a report showing that casinos in New York may be cannibalizing each other's revenue. [Gazette][Gazette]

Racism and racing
While police search for the people who draped Confederate flags over lawn jockeys at the National Museum of Racing this week, concerns are being raised about racism in the history of the sport. [Saratogian][Gazette]

Snowy owl found dead
An arctic snowy owl that was wintering in the grasslands in Washington County was found dead along a roadway and is believed to have been struck by a passing vehicle. [TU]

Milton ethics
Milton's town board made a failed attempt to override the recommendation of its ethics committee on Wednesday in an effort to appoint a woman to the ethics committee who had worked on the campaign of a town board member. [TU]

HVCC is partnering with a national solar array firm to provide scholarships
for students in the photovoltaic training program

Youth FX
Albany's 10-year-old Youth FX filmmaking program has opened its first studio, complete with computers storage space and event space. [TU]
