Sometimes it's interesting to see how other places handle the same sort of everyday issues that we have here -- like shoveling sidewalks. Syracuse apparently has a longstanding problem with un-shoveled sidewalks so the new mayoral administrations is looking at a range of options, from better enforcement to shoveling co-ops to municipal plowing of sidewalks (apparently Rochester does that).
