"I'll just walk away and give up"
The Central Warehouse -- that huge block of an old building covered in peeling paint just north of downtown Albany -- was sold last summer. Mike DeMasi checks in and highlights a bunch of problems the new owner has encountered with a similar project in Connecticut, including pushback from officials there -- and he tells DeMasi he's worried that "bad press" could hurt his efforts at Central Warehouse. I can't see how Blum would run into the zoning problems he had in Connecticut with the Central Warehouse in Albany, given that the building is/was already a warehouse in 'the warehouse district' of the city.
For the other problems mentioned - it sounds like Blum's personality might rub people the wrong way... I'm still hopeful for the future of Central Warehouse.
