A warmer Arctic, wavier jet stream, and more Northeast winter storms
One of the hard things to forecast about climate change is how all the various local weather pieces fit together, sometimes in ways that might seem counterintuitive. Example: There's new research that points toward warmer winter air in the Arctic (like this year) being associated with severe winter weather in the northern hemisphere... like Nor'easters in the Northeast United States.
