A Siena poll out this week provides a peek into the (self-reported) habits of respondents everyday habits. A few bits:
+ 48 percent of respondents said they get, on average, six or fewer hours of sleep per night.
+ 42 percent said they start every day with a cup of coffee -- 38 percent said they never drink coffee.
+ 22 percent said they check email/texts/social media immediately after waking up. (It was 38 percent among 18-34 year olds.)
+ 29 percent of people said they exercise for 30 minutes a day -- 23 percent said they never do it.
+ 46 percent said they meditate or pray at least once a day -- 26 percent said they never do it.
+ 70 percent said laugh out loud at least once a day -- 4 percent said they never do it.
+ 51 percent of people said the floss every day.
+ 62 percent said they think about money every day.
+ 50 percent of people said they have at least one relaxed meal with family or friends per day.
The Siena poll was conducted March 1-29 and included 802 New York State residents. Margin of error is +/- 4.4%.
