Food-oriented development

This is a new term to us, but it immediately clicked: "food-oriented development." (It's a play on transit-oriented development.) At Curbed, there's a look at a bunch of programs around the country that are using all sorts of food enterprises as avenues for neighborhood investment, job training, and cultural preservation.
