Id love to visit FDR's House and have a meal at The Culinary Institute of America.

A trip to Cooperstown. It's a beautiful town with museums, a state park and Brewery Ommegang. Plus a lake nearby for kayak rentals. Then back home for some Kurver Kreme.

I’d like to take a drive to Whiteface Mountain; check out the view from the top, and then explore the village of Lake Placid.

Olana would make a great day trip!

Cooperstown! I haven't been there since I was a kid

My wife has been pressing to go to Storm King. So that's in the cards this summer.

Would love to do a long weekend in cooperstown and stay at the Otesaga!

A day trip I have planned is to take the train down to Hudson, wander around, take the ferry to Athens for dinner at the brewpub, & then back. (Hat tip to Mr. Crary.)

Hiking and then Tubing down the Ausable River!

Wiawaka for yoga and swimming.

I'd like to visit the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz.

A visit to Lake George, the Queen of American lakes. You can never get too much of it.

Well, maybe too much of the Village

Almost always have a beer from Shmaltz Brewing Company in the fridge but always have some Ironweed from Albany Distilling Company on the bar.

I want to spend the day in Lake George enjoying the lovely inlets near Sleeping Beauty.

Motorbike trip all over the area to sample custard stands!

Lake George and a dinner cruise with my wife

Saratoga for brunch, an afternoon at the track and a picnic dinner on the lawn at SPAC while listening to the Philadelphia Orchestra.

weekend at old forge, camping and water safari!!!

There are a few of new brewery's up north that my friends and I would like to try out. Load up the car, open the windows and hit the road!

The Wild Center!

North and South Lakes

I'd love to take a trip to Eternal Flame Falls. A constant flame behind a waterfall is really unique, and a great weekend trip and from Albany.

Tanglewood.

One of these days I’m going to go watch Tim Tebow play for the Mets in Binghamton

The Wild Center in Tupper Lake even though I’m afraid of heights then Big Tupper Brewing of course !

I want to hike the gorge trail at Watkins Glen State Park.

Letchworth State Park, has been on my to-do list for a few years now.

Opus 40

Let's get to Vermont!

We definitely want to get to Olana, again, now that they have opened up the house for tours. If you go, just be aware that parking can be limited and they are under construction, so walking around, a little more challenging. Also, that many tours sell out, so booking ahead is important.

My husband and I would love to attend the Drink Saratoga at the Automobile Museum. My husband is really into cars and Saratoga is a great place to visit. We would enjoy having a little day trip to Saratoga (we have 3 small children hard to get away.)

A day trip to visit Ommegang! A gorgeous drive that ends with beer-perfection!

I'd love to go down to Poughkeepsie to visit the FDR library and then dinner at the CIA.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
