Police say a 51-year-old man was allegedly under the influence of drugs when he hit three cars with his SUV, rolled it in a motel parking lot, and crashed into a Central Avenue home, on Wednesday morning. [Gazette]

A former senior officer for Andrew Cuomo and later SUNY poly testified on Tuesday in the Corruption trial of Alain Kaloyeros that Todd Howe was brought in to SUNY Poly to become the "eyes and ears" of the Cuomo administration because administration officials had reservations about Kaloyeros. [TU]
Rapist sentenced in murder for hire plot
Convicted rapist Kyle Shultz was sentenced Wednesday in Saratoga County Court to up to 40 years in prison for rape, assaulting corrections officers and plotting a murder for hire from behind bars to have his rape victim killed. .[WNYT][Gazette]
Immigrants in Albany County Jail
The first wave of immigrants to the Albany County jail brought people from many countries whom the Feds claim are charged with "low level crimes." Sheriff Craig Apple, who opposes the current U.S. immigration policy, has arranged for interpreters and pro-bono legal counsel to help the immigrants in his care. [WNYT]
