Today's moment of autumn
The warm, humid, breezy weather Wednesday seemed just right for the tropical plants that occupy the Washington Park beds this time of year. Lush.
Last year the city gardener explained that the city saves these plants year to year. When the weather turns cold crews dig them up from Washington Park and the median at Western and Madison and the plants overwinter in a city greenhouse. Then the next summer after tulips and other early summer plants have had their run, the tropical plants return for their summer outdoor residency.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
