Schoharie limousine crash
+ State Police say 20 people died in the limousine crash in Schoharie Saturday at State Route 30 and State Route 30A. All 18 people inside the limo died, as did two pedestrians. + A family members says the group of passengers from Amsterdam had been celebrating a friend's 30th birthday -- the group included four sisters, two brothers, and two newlywed couples. [TU]

Mother charged in death of Troy toddler
Troy police say a 20-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter in connection with the death of her 21-month-old son this past June. Her attorney told the Times Union she's innocent. [Spectrum] [TU]
Review of Albany police shooting of man who stabbed his mother
A grand jury has concluded that an Albany police officer was justified in shooting a man who was stabbing his mother inside a home on Partridge Street in June. The man died from being shot, and police found his uncle upstairs suffering from stab wounds. In a press conference, Albany County DA David Soares showed body camera video from the incident and said the video was a help during the investigation. [TU] [Spectrum] [CBS6]
Albany shooting
Albany police say they're investigating a shooting Sunday morning near Clinton Ave and Lark Street. They say a man was shot in the back and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with info is asked to call police. [APD]

Fire investigators say the big fire on Quail Street in Albany last week was caused by a grease fire in a kitchen. [WNYT]
