Sidewalks, data, equity
Amanda Fries looks at a push for the city of Albany to explicitly track data about efforts such as sidewalk or street repair and analyze the results with an eye toward equity among neighborhoods. (This approach -- having a formalized process for making decisions and then being open with members of the public, taking the time to explain that process -- is a good idea for all sorts things the city does.) Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

When the city has succeeded in driving away everyone who has the means to leave, it will finally have achieved "equity."
