I have a green business idea to assist owners of multi-family and commercial buildings to assess and adapt their present energy systems to utilize the latest ideas in solar, cogeneration, geothermal and fuel fired assisting energies to conserve energy.
As a consultant, I would be employed by building owners to access the technologies that would best benefit my clients. Owners would learn new ways to light, heat and power building systems using the latest in solar, cogeneration and geothermal and/or fuel fired assisting energies to augment their current systems and, possibly, sell back excess energy to the grid.
My education and experience has been eclectic, as I have a graduate degree in counseling, am a graduate gemologist, a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist, and most recently served as a VP of Sales & Marketing and am currently an MBA student. I was employed for many years in the fields of jewelry, wellness, and legal publishing. Last year, I married a NYC business owner and find myself splitting my time between the Albany area and NYC.
During my time in NYC, I was fortunate enough to have experienced a LEED certified project and would like to become certified using the $1500 grant.
