Stuff to do this weekend

Caber Toss.jpgThis is it folks. We knew it was coming, but somehow we thought if we ignored it, it wouldn't happen. It's the last weekend of the summer. Soak in as much as you can. You'll miss it in February. Here's our to-do list for the weekend.

Troy night out
The Collar City is open late tonight for shopping, strolling and music. Do NOT miss the Official Unofficial After Party at Revolution Hall. The line up includes McGillicuddy, We Are Architects, Charlie Everywhere and BEWARE! The Other Head of Science. Admission to the party is $5.

If it's not Scottish it's crap
Men in kilts, throwing trees--what's not fun about that. The Capital Region Scottish Games, the annual two day festival of all things Scottish, is at the Altamont Fairgrounds this weekend. There's Celtic music, a pipe band competition. food, and a caber toss. Sat. $15, Sun. $10. Under 12 -free.

The Final Stretch
Saratoga will be hopping for the last weekend of the racing meet. Musicians from all around the region are giving free concerts on Broadway Friday and Saturday nights as part of the Final Stretch Festival.

Hey look, cowboys!
The Double M Professional Rodeo wraps up their 2008 season this weekend in Ballston Spa. Yee-haw.

Sgt Dunbar! We are Jeneric!
Sgt Dunbar and The Hobo Banned will be at Valentine's on Saturday night with We are Jeneric and Eureka Birds. $5

Do summer stuff
The weather will be right for outdoor dining, catching a last swim before the pools close, take the ice cream tour or bring your dog to a ball game at The Joe.
