Overheard at the Greek place

Mean Girls Halloween stillA trio of older teenagers/college students, two guys and a girl, are sitting at a table on a break.

Guy: Do you have your Halloween costume, yet?

Girl: Yeah.

Guy: Is it scary or slutty?

Girl: It's slutty scary.

What/where is the Greek place?

Maybe what she really meant was... it's scary how slutty it is.

@Kristi: It was at the new Greek restaurant on New Scotland in Albany.

So, I have to ask: is the new Greek place any good?

We've only been once. It was mixed. The souvlaki was so-so. The sliders were pretty good, though.

They just opened, so they probably have some things to work out.

I'm convinced there was a lack of vocabulary here, and this person doesn't know what "scary" actually means. My guesses as to what she was trying to say instead of "scary":

scaly
scabby
scrappy
scalpy
scalene
schizoid
scabies

Dear anonymous girl in the greek restaurant,

Thanks for setting me back a few decades.

Sincerely,

Palin in a bikini and sash that says Vice President, only Vice is crossed out?

Lets add "holding a rifle and ridding a moose" to Carrie's post and I think we have the epitome of scary slutty.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.

Albany tightened its rules for shoveling snowy sidewalks last winter -- so how'd that work out?
