With 47.79 inches of precipitation, 2008 was the second wettest year on record in Albany, according to the National Weather Service. (We believe it.) And get this: five of the top 10 wettest years here have come during this decade. But the wettest year on record: 1878.

My basement flood-o-meter confirms these findings. Gosh, how annoying. You know what else is annoying? This chick at my new job keeps saying "pacific" when she means to say "specific". Man, what's up with that?
