The coat is vintage -- it's from my aunt. She loves to shop and she sends me all these awesome designer clothes. The dress is from H&M. The necklace was a gift from my mother and I got the bag for about $5 in my favorite neighborhood in Peru. I was having a really good day when I bought it, and it always makes me happy.

How would you describe your style?
You should wear the clothes, they shouldn't wear you. I like to wear a lot of simple, solid colors and let my jewelery and accessories make a statement. I want my accessories to be meaningful items that bring back good memories when I see them -- kind of like hearing a song. I love to include a South American influence.

Where do you shop?
All over really. I got this dress at H&M. Some of my favorite places locally are Marshall's, DSW Warehouse, and Chico's (for the jewelry alone). For the most part, I look for the best deals and most interesting finds. And I spend a great deal of time raiding my sister's closet! I buy a lot of my jewelry at Elissa Halloran on Lark Street. She has wonderful jewelery.

AOA's Take:
Wearing a winter coat in the fall just looks and feels uncomfortable. Nicole's lightweight vintage coat adds a burst of color and provides a stylish transition to the cooler weather. The jewelery and bag help tie everything together and the bag has a story.
