St. Rose building gets high "green" grade
St. Rose announced today that its Massry Center for the Arts has been awarded LEED Gold status for its eco-friendliness.
The Massry is the largest new building in this area to get that certification. The Massry is heated and cooled by a geothermal system that uses 40 450-feet-deep wells.

This building really is pretty cool. I was able to take a tour when it first opened, and there are a lot of little details added in (automatically adjusting lights, soundproofing, an auditorium that's acoustically equal to the practice rooms, etc.) that make it really interesting.
