Appliance swap-out extended
The state has extended the appliance swap-out rebate until... well, until the money runs out. The program was slated to end this past Sunday, but there's still more than $9 million remaining for rebates. The program site keeps track of how much money is still left in the pot. The program has a few rules, so be sure to read up before you go out to buy a new fridge.

The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Buying people appliances really counts as making the "tough choices" in state Govt. That 9 mil could keep all the parks open for one more year. Or save an art, music, or language teacher's job.

OK should have looked with my eyes and not my mouth. I see that stimulus money paid for it and probably that money couldn't have been used to save the parks. I am starting to agree with AARA detractors though. What a gigantic waste of $$. With all the people in straits right now, should we really be spending such large amounts of money on things like this?
