What are you doing this weekend?

Gin & Tonic at the pool.JPG

Our current plan.

Stuff to do this weekend will be back in its regular slot next Friday.

As part of stay-cation week (and because we're on one of our own) we thought we'd ask you to help out.

So, if your so inclined, share your plans with the crowd.

We'll start. We're going to try to squeeze in some time at the Victoria Pool, hit up a soft ice cream stand and take some of our favorite kids to the Grafton Lake and the Berkshire Bird Paradise. We'd also like to get out to Williamstown for the theater festival and catch Alta Mira's Sunday night show at Valentine's

What are you doing?

Tonight - Going to the Ballet at SPAC, if the weather cooperates

Saturday - Troy Farmer's Market, dinner at New World Bistro (my first time there!), and then an awesome concert at the Linda Norris Auditorium - Anais Mitchell and Mike and Ruthy!

Sunday - Hosting a baby shower for a friend at Creo, then maybe playing some Volleyball in Collins park. It should be a great weekend!

Heading out to Rome/Utica on Saturday, to check out Fort Stanwix and camp somewhere for the night. Running the Boilermaker Sunday then heading back to Smalbany for a BBQ with friends.

Going camping at Moreau state park and keeping my fingers crossed the weather will (mostly) cooperate!

Quick note about the Victoria Pool. It was completely full last week. The place is tiny tiny. Anyway, don't let that discourage you: in the *same* park, for only $2, you can drive a few minutes down to hit the Peerless Pool. Give it some love. It is enormous (I would say Olympic size but at most 4 feet deep), kid friendly (a gentle slope on one side to get in), has an equally sizable lawn all around for you to chillax, some shade, *two* slides, and a smaller pool for kids with a fun fountain. Cheaper, bigger, funner.

My plan for the weekend: it's just too hot so I'll be taking pictures of the mud at the bottom of Lake George. 58 degrees down there, ahhhhh.

World Cup!!!

Does anyone know if Wolff's is having one of those block parties for the game Sunday? I didn't make it to either of the other ones, but heard they were awesome. Either way I'm going there I just want to know what to expect.

Dinner with friends tonight, Saturday hosting a brother-in-law, debating whether or not to drag daughter to Boilermaker in Utica on Sunday with husband and said brother-in-law.

Plan to go to Washington Park's Playhouse to see "Annie Get Your Gun" at 8pm, then hit up Lark Street for drinks and/or ice cream. Hope the weather doesn't turn to rain!

Spending some time at the Troy Farmer's Market, tending my Community Garden and searching out Chipotle to try it for the first time. :)

Capture the flag game will go off at 5pm Saturday (tomorrow) in Washington Park!

Meet at the Moses

Catching a Valley Cats game on Sunday.

Got freebie General Admission tickets for bringing my TWC invoice over to the box office a few weeks ago.

I've never been (!) -- should be fun.

Car show tonight at Latham's on the Green (Hoffmans), movie after at Tawasentha with my daughter.

Saturday Wags to whiskers in Rotterdam (Maple Ridge Ski Area)

Sunday Curtis Lumber Car show in Ballston Spa.

All are weather permitting of course. If weather doesn't help than the museum and libraries

Plans to go to a Toy and Collectibles show on Sunday at the Holiday Inn Wolf Rd. Saturday, weather permitting, grilling and chilling with friends.

Unfortunately working all wknd @ The Rusty Anchor in Watervliet. The Refrigerators plaY this evening....

This weekend I am going to Woodstock to visit my family. We're partying. There will be beer, bbq and lots of bacon (that I won't eat).

The Delaware Avenue street fest is Saturday. Garage sales, music, art, food! Come!

Tonight - Dinner in trade for TJ's goods

Satuday - some kind of eating to-do, depending on the weather. Maybe macarons, maybe pupusas. Definitely a lot of whatever it is.
Also wanna hit up the Delaware Ave garage sale! How awesome does that sound?

Sunday - Maybe putz around in the garden? Go to a body of water? I still have no clue.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
