Improving the pancake bite

A follow-up of sorts to our Dunkin' Donuts pancake bites experience: the Young and the Hungry got a chef in NYC to create a classed-up version of the pancake bites.

Anyway, this had us thinking about an event we kind of wish someone would organize: a night at a restaurant (or wherever) where chefs made classed-up versions of fast food or stuff like corn dogs. It could be fun.

There is a web site dedicated to something similar, called Fancy Fast Food . "These photographs show extreme makeovers of actual fast food items purchased at popular fast food restaurants. No additional ingredients have been added except for an occasional simple garnish". Great photos.
