Everyone has it out for Albany these days, even mutants

Jean Grey destroys AlbanyThere's a new series of X-Men comics launching next year -- and one of the issues apparently includes the destruction of... Albany.

The mutant abilities of a young woman named Jean Grey manifest in the form of an explosive, fiery phoenix that immolates everything in its path. The City of Albany, New York is decimated, leaving 600,000 dead.

Well, that can't be good for property values. We can only hope one of the mutants picks up The Egg and throws it at someone.

(Thanks, Jess!)

On the up side, I might get a good insurance value for my house... yay comics? ;) It needs a little sprucing up anyway!

@Andy: That depends on whether your home owner's policy includes an "act of mutants" clause.

That's the best thing since the movie Damnation Alley where the survivors of a nuclear apocalypse are heading to Albany NY

Well, after the mutant uprising (or whatever), and we start to rebuild, we can design 787 to not cut off access to the riverfront.

Clean slate! ;)

Whoa, since when do we have 600,000 residents? Unless Phoenix destroys the entire urban sprawl... (sayonara Colonie).

Now wait a minute. Albany is supposed to be the only city that survives a nuclear holocaust. Unless the film "Damnation Alley" completely lied to me...

Let's Have a "1999" Party, Albany!

Soo... Jean Grey is going to be in Albany?

"The City of Albany, New York is decimated, leaving 600,000 dead." Decimated? Where are copy editors when you need them? That means we have a population of 6 million people. Wow.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
