Here is what I would like to see: Instead of his parents pimping him out everywhere, I'd like to see someone work with him on getting a proper film education.
He should know what the different parts of the business do. He should know what we consider culturally great films, and why, even if he doesn't agree. He should have an awareness of film history, from politics surrounding filmmaking, to world cinema, to technological advancements.
Then, I'd like for him to keep his job, take it seriously, and be a positive gateway for a younger generation to learn about and understand film. There's still a chance for greatness to come from this kid and the opportunities he provides. I doubt it will happen that way, though.
In related news, someone should give Elvis Mitchell a job for pete's sake.
