Jackson Murphy on the Tonight Show
Local kid film critic Jackson Murphy was on the Tonight Show Friday night (clip embedded above). And you gotta give him credit -- not only did he breeze through his appearance, but all his Oscar picks ended up being correct.
(He also managed to skate past an odd/uncomfortable cougar joke Jay Leno made about him and Emily Blunt.)

Perhaps I am just jealous because Jackson Murphy has seen more of the Oscar nominated films than I have. As a parent with two young children we often prefer to wait for the DVD or HBO releases rather than pay for a sitter on top of outrageous ticket prices...not to mention the popcorn! When we do watch them, we wait to press the "play" button until our children are tucked up in bed...which is where this CHILD should be also.

Normally, i would think how cute! This boy is so annoying, the only reason he got his start is because of his dad. Who i liked , and felt sad hehad lost his job on channel 10. Why is this child allowed to see adult films?I make up my own decision about the movies i want to see.It depends upon the plot, stars and if i am in the mood . I would never take this child's opinion to heart. Hope his parents are saving his money because his career is based only on the fact that he is a novelty!

Jackson is Amazing. and for those people who "THINK" or say Jackson should be doing other things, you have no idea how much this young man loves doing what he is doing. Be it that other kids are wrapped up in video games, or playing sports...Jackson finds his pleasure in this field.
Good for him to love what he does, and have the resources around him to set himself up for the future.
