Bed and Biscuit

Hounds on the Hudson -- the popular dog-walking service in Albany -- is now offering a boarding service called "Bed and Biscuit." It looks a bit more upscale than typical boarding -- it includes pick up and drop off, three walks a day, and "a comfy bed." Earlier: Ask AOA: Know of a good pet sitter or boarding?

While the price is more ($45 per day, compared to $20ish for a lot of the other area kennels), this would be worth it if you have a dog who needs more attention and exercise than you get at the average kennel. 3 walks a day is impressive, plus pick up and delivery is quite a service.

Hopefully their future guests will behave better than my mother and stepfather's pooch Oscar did during his recent stay with HotH.

I saw this in the HotH newsletter yesterday!!

My two dogs stayed there the weekend of our wedding a couple months ago. It was so great to know they'd be somewhere with people that knew and loved them (our dogs are walked regularly by HotH) when we were out celebrating! I even put the note about the dogs' behavior during their stay in with my box of wedding stuff. I feel very lucky we have people we trust that are willing to take our dogs when we cannot watch them.
