Pasquale's sold to Wine Bar and Bistro on Lark owner

pasquales exterior closeupIn a deal that's been simmering for weeks, Wine Bar and Bistro on Lark owner Kevin Everleth is buying Pasquale's in Albany. Steve reports today that the deal will close soon and Everleth plans to turn the pizza place into a gastropub with a new name.

Pasquale's is a two-time overall champ in the Tournament of Pizza (and semi-finalist last year). Viktoria Gelag, the owner, told us last month that she put the business up for sale after deciding she needed a break, and eventually wants to find a smaller spot.

SUPER excited about this new development!

wishing them both much success.....

I think it's great, especially since I can keep getting that awesome pizza!

This is some of the greatest restaurant related news I've heard in a long time. Everything about this makes me giddy. I can now get my Chicken and Waffles on again, proper-like.

I was sad to hear they were selling, but this sounds like it will great. Every time I've been to the Midtown Tea and Tap Room it always seemed to pale in comparison to the Wine Bar, and now the Wine Bar is coming to me!

Is today their last day?!
