Chuck Schumer would like you to drink NY beer with your chicken wings

rare vos thumbnailNew York beer facts of the day: there are 77 micro-breweries, regional craft breweries, or brewpubs in the state. And the Capital Region's 6 breweries produced 4,922 barrels of beer last year. Those facts are from Chuck Schumer's office, which is a pushing a campaign to encourage restaurants and bars around the state to carry beer brewed in the state. Schumer has been rather beer focused this year -- back in February he pushed for legislation that would cut a federal excise tax on beer brewed by microbreweries.

100%. I think it's shameful when local places don't carry at least one local beer.
