Another alleged bleach assault

Albany police say they arrested a 31-year-old woman for allegedly throwing bleach on her ex-boyfriend while he held their 2-year-old Sunday morning at Central Ave and Ontario. This is the third recent incident in which bleach was either used, or apparently prepared for use, as a weapon. (APD press release after the jump.)

APD: woman allegedly threw bleach
A 31 year old Second Street woman was arrested Sunday morning after she allegedly threw bleach at her ex-boyfriend while he was holding his two year old daughter in his arms.
Police were called to the victim's Benson Street home at approximately 10:00 a.m. for a complaint of domestic violence. The victim told officers that he was walking at the intersection of Central Avenue and Ontario Street with his daughter in his arms when his ex-girlfriend walked up to him and threw bleach at him.
Takima Gaddy, of 587 Second Street, allegedly walked up to them and began to yell and scream before throwing bleach at him from a water bottle. The bleach landed on his sweatshirt and in the child's hair. While trying to put the child down, Gaddy pushed the victim to the ground causing him to strike his face.
He sustained a small laceration to his lip.
Gaddy was located at her residence a short time after the incident by officers and was arrested.
She was charged with Assault 3rd, Criminal Mischief 4th, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Both the child and victim were treated at the scene by the Albany Fire Department.
Gaddy was arraigned this morning in Albany City Court.

Wow, it really does take a special kind of a$$h*le to attack a man with bleach while he's holding his 2 year old. If only there were some type award for this thing.
