Stuff to do this weekend

tulips washington park 2012-05-11

There are still some tulips holding on in Washington Park.

The weekend forecast calls for a mix of sun and clouds and a chance of tulips. OK, a very, very small chance of tulips.

Most of the flowers bloomed, like, a month ago, but the celebration goes on this weekend as scheduled in Albany's Washington Park. There's also a whole bunch of other stuff going on this weekend. After the jump, a few of the options we thought you might want to know about. Got something else planned? Share it with the crowd.

Comments

"The Farnsworth Invention" doesn't actually close this weekend - we run through the 20th. But thank you for the mention, and we hope to see you there!

CAGE WARS 12
@ The Saratoga Springs City Center (522 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY )
Doors open 7:00pm
Tickets: $30, General Admission

I'm on the card, weigh-ins are tonight. Pumped! Come see me throw down!

PS Amy - Just to be on the safe side, you might want to double-check all the info that's out there for the show, because I was under the same impression re: it closing this weekend.

I've seen (on Broadway) both The Farnsworth Invention and The Gods of Carnage - both were VERY good plays and I recommend them to anyone who hasn't seen them. Moreso the former, as the latter is now a (albeit under promoted) movie ("Carnage.")

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
