A tour of Meadowbrook Farms
Over at the From Scratch Club, Britin got a tour of Meadowbrook Farms -- the much-admired, and sometimes hard to contact, dairy that offers home delivery to parts of the Capital Region. The tour highlights what contributes to the quality of Meadowbrook's milk: grass feeding, low-heat pasteurization, and a lot of experience. (Be sure to try Meadowbrook's cream sometime -- it's fantastic.)

My thanks to AOA, Britin, and the Van Wie family. A great link, a great review, and terrific service and dairy from the farm. I'm a happy customer and have asked briefly about some of the issues Britin covers, not wanting to trouble good folks. But her writeup and discussion are thorough and terrific, well worth reading if you're interested in getting good, local dairy with heart, soul, and a fair price.
Thanks Albany County!
