Stewart's dark chocolate ice cream, FTW

Stewart's dark chocolate ice cream placed first in a recent World Dairy Expo competition of dark chocolate ice creams (it had the highest score of any chocolate ice cream variety in the competition). It's Stewart's second win in the category in three years. Stewart's Philly vanilla placed first in 2009, and its French vanilla won in 2010. The expo is for dairy processors, so Stewart's wasn't up against all ice cream brands. But it's another sign that they're ice cream is rather good (and you can't beat the quality for the price). Good for them! As a family, we're big fans of Stewart's and buy our milk, eggs and ice cream there exclusively (they really are on just about every corner, so convenient!). I would be curious to know more about their products though. I've always assumed that buying local is better/safer, however, i often wonder how it compares to organic, which i'm sure i should be buying instead.

The Scoop
