Paul Grondahl has an update on the Sister Spirt/Ass Backward, the comedy that shot in Albany in 2010 and then ran out of money, leaving many local vendors unpaid -- apparently many (or at least some) of its creditors have now been paid and the producers are hoping for 2013 release. For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.

Sounds like good news for most people involved. Hopefully everyone will get paid. I for one, along with my sister Catherine and her boyfriend Mike, were there by way of James of the local talent agency and being non-union are owed $40. For that amount we were pretending we were in a dance club at the old Plastic Lounge from 10PM until 2AM! Earlier in the night we walked back and forth in front of Lodge's for at least a half an hour. Very late night to say the least. Plus, we started filming at 5PM... Hopefully we can spot ourselves for a second in the film.
I hope it gets rave reviews. It sounds like alot of people went through hell and back to get this back on track.
