Stride Rite back
The now-closed Stride Rite store at Stuyvesant Plaza (Junior Shoe Depot) is being replaced with... a Stride Rite store. [TU] Earlier: Ask AOA: Where to buy kids shoes? -- a question prompted by the earlier closure of the Stride Rite stores. (Amarit says the store was great at properly fitting her kids with "weird feet.")

Same with Clifton Park, went there on Sunday hoping that the going out of business sale wasn't over, and saw that it is reopening soon as Stride Rite.

For the record, I was there today buying shoes for my littlest one. And the new owners were smart enough to retain the very talented and lovely Denise who has been the face of the shop since I moved out here 5 years ago (and probably long before).
Still great shoes and great service. So happy it's back.
