Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Palace
The Tedeschi Trucks Band will play a show at the Palace December 2. Tickets go on sale this Friday. They start at $39.
If you're thinking about going, you probably want to get tickets sooner rather than later. The blues rock band's show at The Egg last October sold out.
The Tedeschi Trucks Band is only about two years old. But the band's husband-and-wife leaders -- Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi -- were successful with their own, separate bands before forming the group. Its debut album won the 2012 Grammy for Best Blues Album.
Speaking of the blues... Two other nominees for that blues Grammy also have shows coming up here this fall: The Warren Haynes Band at The Egg on October 13, Keb' Mo' at The Egg on October 20.

I just saw Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan. I paid less money for Loge seats there than the upper balcony seats at the Palace. I don't know who sets ticket prices anymore considering Ticketmaster's monopoly on national live music, but price gouging at the Palace Theatre is ridiculous. The lowest ticket price for Joe Bonamassa is $51 before fees? It's getting out of control.
