Recreational hockey leagues, or pick up games?
Samantha emails:
I am new to the Capital Region and I was looking for Women's Club Hockey in the area. ... And if not Women's Club are there intramural teams, Men's Leagues or Club, drop in games, or beer leagues?
Know some games for which Samantha can lace up her skates? Please share!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

Your best bet is to go to the local rinks and they mostly have bulletin boards with league information.
Saratoga, Clifton Park & Schenectady County arena's all offer "stick & puck" times during the week to at least get out and work on skills, usually a goalie is one to shoot on.

The Bethlehem YMCA adult league is co-ed, insofar as one woman (that I know of) currently playing makes it so. :)
You can contact Rusty Decker for more info - he runs the arena and our league at the Y.
