Stuff to do this weekend

river festival chalk 2010

The sidewalk painting competition is part of the annual River Street Festival in Troy, this Saturday.

So -- this is June, right? We're thinking maybe someone important forgot to flip the calendar. The rain should stop in time for Saturday events, but right now it looks like it will start up again on Sunday.

It may dampen your feet but it doesn't have to dampen your spirits. There's lots of good stuff going on this weekend, from chalk drawings and strawberry festivals to blockbuster movies and museum exhibits.

No plans yet? After the jump you'll find a few things we thought looked promising. Got something planned that you don't see here? Share it in the comments.

And whatever you're up to, have a fantastic weekend.
