Richard Thompson will be there in September.

The Egg has announced a slate of concerts for this fall. Tickets go on sale to the public July 24.

September 28: Richard Thompson with special guest Teddy Thompson
"Iconic British folk rock legend Richard Thompson, one of the world's most critically acclaimed and prolific songwriters and admired guitarists, performs an intimate solo acoustic concert. Singer, songwriter - & son of Richard - Teddy Thompson - will open the show." $39.50



October 18: Over the Rhine, Tift Merritt
Friday, October 18, 8 PM, , Swyer Theatre
"Over the Rhine - featuring Karin Bergquist and Linford Detweiler - seamlessly interweaves the disparate idiosyncratic strains that form the many-colored crazy quilt of American music as heard on their latest recording 'The Long Surrender'. Tift Merritt who injects a healthy dose of sweet southern soul into her original songs will open the show." $24

November 7: Joshua Redman Quartet
"The charismatic, soulful saxophonist Joshua Redman performs music from his latest recording 'Walking Shadows' which includes music from jazz standards to Bach, The Beatles, John Mayer and originals with his quartet featuring Aaron Goldberg (pian0), Reuben Rogers (bass) and Gregory Hutchinson (drums)." $34.50

November 9: Roger McGuinn
"The legendary voice of The Byrds, Roger McGuinn returns with his solo show that takes the audience on a guided tour of his role as a preserver of music traditions and innovations in the development of folk- and country- rock in the 1960s which continue to influence musicians of today." $34.50

December 7: The Temptations
"Led by original founding member Otis Williams, The Temptations perform their timeless Motown classics - 'My Girl', 'The Way You Do the Things You Do', 'Get Ready', 'Papa Was a Rolling Stone' ... to name a few." $34.50

December 14 and 15: Mountain Snow & Mistletoe
