It includes a bunch of details about how a sporting goods magnate, a crank, a seance, and anti-British fervor contributed to Ballston Spa native Abner Doubleday being tagged as the inventor of baseball in Cooperstown (not only did he not actually invent baseball, he may not have even gone to Cooperstown).
