Remember fishers, the cute-when-tranquilized/agile-death-machines-for-squirrels-when-awake martens that have recently re-established populations in suburban parts of the Capital Region? It appears they're continuing to spread throughout the state -- former State Museum curator of mammals recently wrote about a sighting in the Bronx. Like many who move to NYC, the fishers could find interesting opportunities, Kays writes -- in this case, the opportunity would be rats to eat.
