Questions about Lyme tests

Lyme disease is a big topic in the Northeast, so this was interesting: "Can You Trust Lyme Disease Tests?," an article by Beth Daley at the New England Center for Investigative Reporting was interesting. It looks at the complicated situation surrounding the many tests for Lyme -- some FDA approved, some not. As it happens, New York is the only state "that performs a rigorous review of tests to ensure they identify what they claim to before they can be offered there." The articles end up in the same place many discussion about Lyme land: the need for more research about how the disease affects people. [via BoingBoing]
