Tim Hecker is one of the artists who will be at Basilica Soundscape later this week.

Here are a few things to keep in mind, look forward to, or keep busy with this week, from the weather (nice), to primary day, to sonic warfare, to laughs, to beer, to all sorts of music...

Weather

Here's the paraphrased forecast for this week:
Monday: Sunny, mid 70s.
Tuesday: Repeat.
Wednesday: Again, maybe warmer.
Thursday: Cloudy, probably showers and thunderstorms. Upper 70s.
Friday: Sunny and mid 70s.
Weekend: Sunny, cooler.

Nice.

Primary Day

The state and local party primary day for the fall elections is Tuesday. Her talk seeks to offer frameworks for comprehending and articulating slavery's injury, including, critically, its ongoing effects." Tuesday 8 pm, Saint Joseph Hall Auditorium - free

Sonic warfare
Tuesday: Steve Goodman -- electronic musician Kode9 -- will be at EMPAC for a talk about "the weaponization of sound." Goodman will follow the talk with a solo music set. Tuesday 6 pm / 9 pm (music) - free / $18

Fort Nassau
Wednesday: Historian John Wolcott will be at the Albany Public Library's main branch to talk about his work attempting to pinpointing the location of Forth Nassau, the first Dutch trading post in what's now Albany.
