Pics from the AOA holiday cocktail party at New World Catering

new world catering party composite

The AOA holiday cocktail party in the kitchen at New World Catering in Albany was Thursday night, and we had a lot of fun! It was very informal -- a throw-your-coat-over-here-and-grab-a-cocktail kind of affair. And, of course, there was food: pan-blackened stringbeans, deviled eggs, ropa vieja sliders, an enormous pan of paella, and more.

Thank you to chef Ric Orlando and the New World Catering crew for hosting us. And thanks to everyone who came to hang out with us!

Here are a few pics...

The New World Catering space is in the spot on Delaware Ave in Albany formerly occupied by Burger Centric and Chang's Chinese Restaurant.

The party featured a cocktail made with Tito's Vodka and tangerine juice.

This space in the back is usually prep space for the catering operation. New World set up it up so we could hang out there.

That mixer is great. Ric Orlando was telling us it's from the 1960s, and it's built like a tank.

A peek into the kitchen.

The enormous pan of paella.

We had lot at fun Thursday night. And we've been thinking about other small events we might be able to put together next year...

New World Catering advertises on AOA, which, you know, is how we were able to set up this event.

That was FUN! Thanks for letting us test out our pop up prototype. Thanks again MD !!!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
