Imagine if all the time, energy, and money that is spent on Valentine's Day were spent on showing love to those who need it most, what a better world it would be. $13 BILLION is spent (on average) annually on Valentine's Day. Instead of buying diamonds and chocolates and Hallmark cards and making reservations at restaurants (or vacation getaway spots), imagine the impact that money would have if it were put toward helping the hungry, the homeless, the sick, the elderly, the poor, etc. That would be a real show of love.
