Congratulations, you've reached the weekend. And for many of you, it's three days long because of Memorial Day on Monday.

Beach
Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer. The beaches at Moreau and Grafton State Parks will open for the season on Saturday.

Theater

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Friday-Sunday: Christopher Durang's Tony-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike makes its Capital Region debut this weekend at Curtain Call Theater. Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm - $24

The Diary of Anne Frank
Saturday/Sunday: The Local Actors Guild of Saratoga closes its production of The Diary of Anne Frank at the Arts Center of Saratoga. Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm / Sunday at 2 pm - $20

Gotta Get Gone
Friday-Sunday: The annual Gotta Get Gone family folk festival returns to the Saratoga County Fairgrounds this weekend. A weekend of family friendly folk music put on by a handful of volunteers. Friday-Sunday - $5-$60

Friday: Jason Isbell at The Egg

Film

The Gold Rush
Sunday: The Madison Theater is screening the Charlie Chaplin film The Gold Rush, with a brand new score performed live by the Andrew Alden Ensemble. Sunday at 8pm - $10

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
The Madison Theater is screening Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade this weekend. Yep, that's the one with Sean Connery.

Looney Toons
Friday-Sunday: The Bow Tie Cinema in Saratoga Springs presents nine classic Looney Toons cartoons as part of its Saturday and Sunday morning Movies & Mimosa Series and its Friday and Saturday late night Insomnia Theater series.

Monk with a Camera
Friday/Sunday: The Saratoga Film Forum is screening Monk with a Camera, the story of Nicky Vreeland, a photographer and son of wealth and privilege who studied for 14 years to become a Tibetan Buddhist monk, and then became a monk/photographer to help save his monastery. Friday and Sunday at 7:30 pm - $8

Antony & Cleopatra
Sunday: The Spectrum is screening the Stratford Festival production of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra. Sunday at noon - $15, $12 for kids.

Drive ins
+ Jericho: Tomorrowland / Paul Blart
+ Hollywood: Tomorrowland / Avengers
+ Malta: Screen 1 - Tomorrowland / Avengers | Screen 2 - Pitch Perfect 2 / Mad Max

Museums
Long weekends are a good excuse to spend a little time wandering though a museum. Just remember some are closed on Monday. Here are a few things you can see right now at museums in the Capital Region:

USS Slater
The USS Slater on the Albany waterfront is open for visits this weekend, including Memorial Day.

Triple Play
The Triple Play baseball exhibit is still running at the Albany Institute of History and Art. It includes 450 historical objects and images celebrating our passion for the sport. (Closed Monday.)

The Arkell
The Arkell in Canojoharie currently has an exhibit focused on artist portraits and self portraits.

MASS MoCA
Among the exhibits currently on display at Mass MoCA (open Monday):
+ Bibliothecaphilia - Art inspired by books and libraries.
+Jim Shaw: Entertaining Doubts - Large Scale paintings done on theatrical backdrops using contemporary figures from pulp novels to politics. The Boston Globe calls it "The show of the summer."

Berkshire Botanical Garden
The Berkshire Botanical Garden is open for the season. It's a nice day trip.

Farmers' markets
Capital Region farmers' markets have moved outdoors.
+ The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market will be on River Street on Saturday from 9 am-2 pm.
+ The Saratoga Farmers' Market will be in High Rock Park. Saturday from 9am to 1pm
+ The Schenectady Greenmarket will be around Schenectady City Hall. Sunday from 10 am-2 pm.
+ The Spa City Farmers' Market will be outside the Lincoln Baths Sunday from 10 am-3 pm
