Over at Bloomberg Business there's an interesting article looking at how Uber lobbied, coordinated, and pushed its way into Portland, Oregon after local government there was slow to approve the taxi app service.

By the way: That bill in the New York State legislature that would have opened the way for services such as Uber and Lyft to operate here isn't going to make it during this session. [Bloomberg Business] [Biz Review]
