A quick recap of the week
Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:
+ Nicole -- and a four-year-old Hoffman's Playland fan -- checked out Huck Finn's Playland.
+ There was a proposal for the state to makeover the area near the Captiol in Albany -- that pre-dated the ESP by 50 years.
+ A proposed public art project for Albany, Schenectady, and Troy was named one of the winners in the Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge -- it could get as much as $1 million for the prize.
+ Lauren's brunch tour took her to Carmen's Cafe in Troy.
+ C. asked about finding a good lawn service for grass cutting and end-of-season cleanup.
+ New York State's production of maple syrup hit a "modern" record last year. (But let's talk about Vermont for a second...)
+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: BusPlus, horses, mountains, the thick of the woods, pollinators, Ivanhoe Bland, a donut burger, a hidden gem, yucca and chicharron, everything at Muza, six with the works, low expectations, tables for one, a clock, and Copenhagen.
+ A demo video about the proposed dedicated busway for one of the new BusPlus lines prompted some discussion.
+ Four takeaways from the kickoff for the study looking at the future of I-787.
+ And it's pool season in the Capital Region.
Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!
Also: tickets are on sale for this year's AOA summer tour -- we're headed back to Hudson! Last year's tour sold out, and we've already sold a bunch of tickets for this year. So don't wait!

Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
