Stuff to do this weekend

Gin & Tonic at the pool.JPG

There's still time for cocktails by the pool.

Only two more August weekends left! If there's some summer thing still on your "to do" list, you'd better get it done.

If you're looking for some summer stuff to do, look no further. Well, look a little further. Not much further. Just after the jump. We've made you a list of some of this weekend's goings-on and it's waiting for you there.

MASS MoCA is exhibiting the large scale landscape paintings of Clifford Ross:

In this major mid-career museum survey, Landscape Seen & Imagined documents Clifford Ross's longstanding project to reconcile realism and abstraction. Among other works, the exhibition includes a 24' high x 114' long photograph on raw wood that spans the length of MASS MoCA's tallest gallery and an immersive installation of animated video on twelve separate 24' high screens
.

Comments

If you're heading to Mass MoCA, ask to be pointed to Clifford Ross' 'Wave Cathedral' - it's in a building that's not usually open to the public so you might miss it... and it's very cool.

Small correction : Per the linked-to website, the Movie Under the Stars is at Ridgefield Park (not Sage College).

Editors: Fixed. Thank you.

Will you be talking about the Albany Jazz Fest soon?
How about the Bennington Garlic Fest?

@Dave: Here's a post about the Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival lineup from last month.
