A look around Delaware Supply

Delaware Supply exterior

Some quick follow-up on Delaware Supply, the craft beer bar that's been in the works for the space next to The Spectrum that was previously a series of coffee shops.

It opened shortly before Christmas, and here are a handful of pics along with a few other bits...

Quick background

The owner of Delaware Supply is Colin Pratt. He's worked as a manager at Westmere Beverage in Guilderland, and as a bartender at Albany Ale and Oyster in Albany. And he was also part of the group that organized the craft beer festival at the Washington Ave Armory last year.

Lauren Slezak, who also worked at Westmere, has also played a big role in opening the bar.

A few bits

+ Delaware Supply opened December 22. Pratt said the crowd so far has been what you might expect -- a lot of people from the neighborhood and people stopping by before or after a movie at the Spectrum.

+ There are 12 beers on tap. There are also five wines available.

+ Beers that are on tap are also available to go in a growler (bring your own for now). Delaware Supply also has a machine that seal a can of beer for carry out. Pricing depends on the beer.

+ Snacks include cheese and meat from the Cheese Traveler, along with soft pretzels. Pratt said they're also trying out some vegan pepperoni from Berben & Wolff's.

+ Board games are on the way, as our events. Keep an eye on the the bar's Facebook page and Instagram.

+ Hours are currently noon-midnight Monday-Sunday, but Pratt said those will change as they figure out demand.

I never saw 16 oz "crowler" cans before. That's pretty cool.

Looks lovely! That's not an easy space. Can't wait to check it out.
